A Necessary Shift Part 1: WorldChanging

By: Rowan Wolf

WorldChanging is an organization and website aimed at solutions to our environmental problems. They are releasing a new book tomorrow called WorldChanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century (at Amazon). I have seen a copy of the book and it has lots of information and ideas. WorldChanging is trying to coordinate a book "blitz" at Amazon on Nov. 11th at 11:11am (pacific time). Their hope is to bounce the book to the top of Amazon's charts to get it attention. So spread the word of those you think might be interested, and if you want to buy it, then hit Amazon at 11:11.

WorldChanging is starting a series of regional blogs. One of those is WorldChanging Portland, and they have invited little ole me to write for them. I have agreed to do so. I support what they are trying to do which is supporting alternatives and new thinking. They tend to be a bit more techie than I am likely to totally embrace, but they are doing very good work and I am honored to be part of the team.

I met with them Monday evening as they passed through Portland and their enthusiasm is a bit contagious. They are an excellent resource of cutting edge sustainable ideas and technology. WorldChanging is part of a groundswell of change which is desperately needed. I have come across a couple of other organizations that I'll be sharing with you over the next several days that I think are also on the cutting edge of a growing change of heart and minds. Please feel free to share your own discoveries.

I encourage you to drop by WorldChanging and check them out.
