An Inconvenient Truth and NativeEnergy
By: Rowan Wolf
I finally got the opportunity to see "An Inconvenient Truth." It is an exceptional presentation on global warming. The visuals are very good, and recent information is included - like the CO2 measurements over the last 650,000 years. The movie focuses around Gore's slide show with side trips to his family farm, and to various sites such as China and the Antarctic.
You can find out about the movie and the book at ClimateCrisis.org.
The site has a "Take Action" section with a CO2 calculator which is linked to Native Energy.
Native Energy is a Native American owned wind and solar energy company. It takes the money from CO2 "offsets" and donations to construct new renewable energy projects, and to support various other programs. The movie was made energy neutral by offsetting with NativeEnergy.
Visit NativeEnergy for more information.
