A Local Climate Change Forum
By:
Just wanted to advise anyone living in the greater Portland (OR) area that there will be a "climate change" (I guess this is the PC term for global warming) forum at Marylhurst University in West Linn, next Saturday from 8:30AM-4:00PM. This forum is open to the public. It is encouraging to see that global warming is at least a matter of serious discussion at area universities!
"Saturday, October 8
8:30 am to 4 pm
Clark Commons
Learn how a warmer earth's atmosphere is impacting marine ecosystems and agriculture, causing changes in animal and plant habitats and shrinking polar ice.
This one-day forum features prominent Pacific Northwest scientists and researchers speaking about their areas of climate study from the Antarctic to the Arctic.
The forum is intended for those interested in learning about climate science from those doing the research."
For further information, or if you need directions, please go to Marylhurst University's website.
