Sites You Might Have Missed
By: Rowan Wolf
I have come across a variety of web sites that folks might have missed, but which I think have a lot to offer.
Several readers have requested more information on alternatives and sustainable practices. The Independent had a listing of the Ten Best Fair trade websites. Here they are in brief (description is in the Independent article)): Silver Chilli, New Consumer, Ganesha, Go Fair, Hug, People Tree, Traid Craft, Ethical Wares, and Ethical Shopper.
Emergency Preparedness
Millennium Ark
Environmental Justice / Non-Dominant Culture Perspectives
Prophecy Keepers
African American Environmentalist Association
Native Americans and the Environment
Indigenous Environmental Network
Just Good Information and Writing
Warwick Hughes
Climate Ark - Climate Change Portal
The Watt. I just discovered this site a few days ago, and I am totally impressed by the depth as well as the "bells and whistles." This site is well worth exploring. The Watt's blogroll is a great resource as it shows the most recent entries at a number of environmental and energy sites - a very easy way to get a quick view of what is being written across a number of sites.
Now I feel bad about not writing something about each of the other sites, but I "to do" list is out of control.
This is not an exhaustive list, but just those that have come to my attention for one reason or another, and I thought some of you may not have found them yet. Please feel free to add your own treasures. If we get a good list, I'll set it up as a separate page so folks have it for easy reference.
