Radical Noesis - Thinking outside the box

I watched this. Did anyone else? Given it was on FOX I thought it was pretty good. It made one comment about needing to devlope our own oil resources so we weren't dependent on "foreign" oil. I was sure they were going to followup with the agenda to do that but they didn't. Then, it was foreign oil (Russian) that saved the US and put it back on a "stable" footing. I thought that the ending was highly unlikely - everything pretty much back to "normal." They didn't really address the issue of peak oil at all - just the fragility of the oil distribution system, and US dependence on oil.

Maybe it was because they didn't go to the issue of Peak oil that they let the show run. Wouldn't want folks going there.

Anyway, some of the social impacts were realistic.

I agree that the ending was unbelievable, but the first 1/2 shows pretty well some of the consequences of the collapse of our oil economy. Which IS going to happen, not too far into the future. For that it was worth watching.

I am looking for a way to ask FX to re-run this. I am afraid its coming true. I feel that we have over extended our military and this is the first domino. Now Huricane Katrina has fell the fell the second domino in the theory put forth by theis movie's plot. I would like to urge FX to re run this movie. It was shown just a few months early. The american public would appriciate this moveie much more today.

I also saw this movie when it first came out and I also think FX should re- run this movie as much as it possibly can so the american people can understand it is not a joke. It is REALITY. It is happening as we speak.

This Oil Strike show has suddenly come true in September of 2005.

Yes its is happening right now.. The hurricane hit and flooded the refineries. I knew this was going to happen. Maybe if we pulled some troops out of IRAQ and put them in New Orleans prises might go down. President Bush did this to us when we went to Iraq, ya im happy we got saddam now lets leave the country we r spending way to much time there and lives... Also open up the 10,000 acres of more land in Alaska.At this rate we might say $3 dollars is low and 5 is high.

Saw the original movie and when Katrina hit, I said there goes life imitating art? What we need is the President to lock oil prices at $50 a barrel or our economy will suffer like in the movie. But hey the oil companies own congress, the white house and our futures.When it all goes to hell in a hand basket maybe we will get some people in power that care more about this nation than their rich buddies!

I would like a copy of "Oil Storm" which aired on FX in June 2005. I taped it and then Stupidly taped over it!!
Please let me know if anyone has a copy.
