Rumblings From Malaysia

By: Mathew

As many of you know, the meeting that led to the 9/11 and USS Cole episodes was conducted in a Kuala Lumpur condominium. All our Special Branch snoops - adept at unearthing dirt on political dissenters - could not tape the conversation, which, I find ridiculous, though they did tape the video footage. No one thought of lip reading to gauge what was said. There are so many people - many of them commoners - who can gauge a person's accent right down to a Kansas locale, and yet this issue was not brought up. However, now there is an emerging spin about photos instead of videos. But the original reports on video footage links are still extant.

I have been doing a lot of rethinking lately on the war on terror aka the Jihad Jamboree, and I do find more craven, sanguinary leaders in this part of the world. George W. Bush may be the poster boy of global hegemony, but he is certainly abetted by others. These are the very people who are taking Americans, Europeans and Australians for a ride with their own "homegrown terrorists" outfits.

The culture and ideology of domination is a global aspiration of a select few. It's not a White House or No 10, Downing Street prerogative alone

Radical Noesis alone raises more question for common humanity than any local daily or "opposition" journal in Malaysia. They all follow the official "root cause" thesis line. (I don't blow myself up even when I faced severe discrimination for 35 years of my life)

Compared to infantile local reports, Even the oft-maligned NYT and WP regularly feature hard-hitting articles.

Right now, I hope to meet the EU Human Rights rep in KL over a lot of issues.

Plus, the discrimination I face here is unbearable and even an EU rep here was surprised that I wasn't admitted into any Human Rights or NGO here. Even my efforts at helping tsunami victims in Sri Lanka were met with a silent rebuff. Though I wrote an article which many editors and readers felicitated me, I can't even find a voluntary posting anywhere. gain the silence. Furthermore, all the Crisis Management skills I learnt under the best in the business, and which can be used to ameliorate the plight of tsunami victims are ignored.

Discrimination for selfish ends often outweigh self-trumpeted selfless sacrifices. . It's not an old, personal ideological motive.

Almost all the NGOs here are govt propped and local reps of International Human Rights Organisations are not doing their jobs, being part of the same party scene.

Frankly, I am planning to leave this nation for good before I end in prison or worse. Political asylum is not a option with the EU. They hate to admit that while people like me try to reason against injustice through writings/or activism, we do not strap bombs to our bodies to vent our frustrations. And no one with reason would end up as a patsy to whatever ideology.

Of course, there will be communications problems as expected. Here is an alert I received from Internetseer (It's a first)

Wish me luck. I will prevail, but for those who think only American citizens and Iraqi civillians are worthy victims, not to mention, UK Muslims who face taunts, your turn will come.
