Try with bikes, Rummy...

By: Silvio

Reading from the CNN:

Tens of thousands of U.S. military vehicles, ships and aircraft are guzzling fuel every day around the world and with the bill rising the Pentagon is trying harder to conserve.
...
The biggest gas guzzlers are heavy armored vehicles, such as tanks and Humvees, and aircraft, such as the massive B-52 bomber.
They were designed decades ago, when gas prices were not an issue. But they have remained a vital part of combat missions.

I guess that's the exact situation we are living each day, and the real reason we are going to face all the great challenges that are waiting for us around the next corner: everything we use was designed "when gas prices were not an issue" (that's CNN words, somebody a bit wiser or less enslaved to the Establishment would say "when nobody cared about Peak Oil") - and all the Almighty Power of our Great Western Civilization was built on this.

So, if even Rummy is worried about his gas bill, what should we do to reduce ours - and our dependence on oil altogether?

Well, there are many things to do, and we talked and we will talk about them every day on these pages. For sure, one thing we would love to do is help Rummy and the Pentagon cut their gas bill - as what we need less is another voracious army biting in our Earth like a worm in an apple.
